Finland’s First ARRI ALEXA SXT

The ARRI ALEXA SXT is the latest addition to the ALEXA product family. Upgraded from the previous XT, the ALEXA SXT is equipped with the familiar 3.4K ALEV III sensor and the ALEXA 65’s state-of-the-art electronics. SXT offers 14 different shooting formats, seven of which are completely new. All sensor options (Open Gate, 4: 3 and 16: 9) support both ARRIRAW and ProRes recording.

The new generation SXR Capture Drive storage media is capable of very fast writing speeds, which guarantees, e.g. higher shooting speeds. In addition, the SXT has four independent monitoring outputs (1 x EVF and 3 x MON OUT) and, among other things, monitoring a true HDR image is possible.

TV Tools also delivered ARRI Ultrasonic Distance Measure UDM-1 ultrasonic measuring device and the Ronford-Baker Atlas 40 cinema head to Kinos Rentals. The ARRI UDM-1 measures the distance between the camera’s sensor and the subject using an ultrasonic pulse and displays it on the screen. The Ronford-Baker Atlas 40 is a versatile 150mm cinema head capable of carrying a maximum ballast weight of 35kg. Atlas 40 is especially suitable for use with ALEXA cameras.
